What makes a good electric guitar video review worth your while?
There are several factors that makes everything we watch, specially a review, worth your time. First of all if you’re a musician searching for gear you probably already know what type of equipment your are doing research for. The great thing about some review sites is that its content targets a musician enthusiast like yourself who really likes and enjoys new equipment and information about its music instrument.
Let’s face it, not all reviews are created equal. Some people are very knowledgeable in their area of expertise, but they’re not very good entertainers. Their reviews tend to end up a little boring and slow to the untrained eye. Some other reviewers love to show their skills in front of the camera completely ignoring the audience and the reason why they’re watching the video in the first place.
Creating a great review required a balance between some expertise, entrainment skills and a little bit of technical know-how. Everybody knows how to hold a camera, but just a few are capable of telling a story in such a way that could be both educational and interesting for the music enthusiast at the other side of the screen watching every second of the segment.
No matter if it’s a cheap electric guitar, bass guitar or percussion instrument. The reviewer should always remember that the real star of the show is in the first place the music and second, the music instrument itself. That’s probably the reason why your public is watching your review in the first place.
Try to connect with your audience, remember that at the end they’re expecting you to deliver news and facts on what they love and cherish.
Add a little humor, including a joke or two here and there makes up for complicated technical data that not all of your viewer can be familiar with. Try it to make it as enjoyable possible, so everybody can enjoy it as much as you do!
